Downtown Alhambra to present car show

Car enthusiasts can save gas this Labor Day weekend by staying home and attending or participating in the Labor of Love Car Show on Saturday, Aug. 30 on South Second Street, between Main and Commonwealth, in front of Alhambra High School.

Street rods, muscle cars, classics, antiques, customs, trucks, rat rods and Harleys are all welcome. A minimal registration fee will be charged for each show vehicle. The first 100 registrants will receive a free event T-shirt and a goodie bag. Registration must be completed before the event.

First place trophies in six classes, in addition to several special trophies, will be presented.

There is no charge for spectators. Rock bands, food booths, automotive displays and games are included. An hourly raffle will take place, with a 50/50 raffle at the end of the show.

The show is presented by the Downtown Alhambra Business Association and hosted by the Undertakers Southern California Car Club.
